After 18 years of service at Post Canada, Serge Marchetta quits in 1993 and starts a new career as an art visual artist. Graduate from Université du Québec à Montréal in 1995, Marchetta has participated over than forty solo and group exhibitions at Montreal, someplace else in the Province of Québec, Europe and United States.

During the last years, his works had seen at SAS Gallery in 2007 and 2010, Le Grave Artists Center in 2008, Laurentides Contemporary Art Museum in 2009, Circa Contemporary Art Center in 2010 and the International contemporary art exhibition – 2011 in Assisi, Italy. He participated to a residency program in France in 2009, Italy in 2011 and Iceland in 2012. He is also a grant holder from the FondationTénot, France, Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec and Société de développement des entreprises culturelles du Québec.

Since 2010, in parallel with his individual practice, he has started to work in collaboration with Masha Ryskin an artist from United States. A first series of drawings have been presented in Providence RI, United States at the Bell Center Gallery, Brown University in 2011.
